Judges will be looking for a business of any size which has adopted a creative and imaginative approach to keep ahead of the competition. Innovation can be presented in terms of product development, a fresh approach to service provision or in terms of partnership working. Crucially, this award will be seeking examples of innovation that make good use of the resources of the Highlands and Islands.
The successful projects will be those which have undertaken good market research, explored the competition and have planned their investment with care. The overall success of the initiative should have been monitored and evidence has to be available.
