The Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards are the official partner of the Scottish Thistle Awards for the Highlands region.  Winners of the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards will be announced in October and will automatically progress to the shortlist of the National Scottish Thistle Awards 2013 to compete with the winners from the other 3 regions of Scotland http://scottishthistleawards.co.uk

The Awards recognise and reward the ‘best of the best’ tourism businesses of all sizes in the Highlands and Islands. If you are involved in our region’s tourism industry then these awards are for you! There is a category suitable for every tourism business in our region.

Our Vision
The HITA Board is made up of industry led volunteers who are involved because of their passion and commitment to the industry’s future. The Board’s vision is to deliver a unique and outstanding celebratory event which recognises the very best in the Highlands and Islands Tourism industry.

HITA will openly promote and encourage excellence within Highlands and Islands tourism, formally recognise best practice in all sectors of our most important industry through a fair, open and honest judging process, facilitate the process which will enable our area exemplars progress to the national stage and finally, will be accountable through demonstrating honesty and integrity at all times
